The first filter
It starts with Nietzsche, and the overman. Despite every attempt to toxify it, the idea is really about free thought. God is dead, so we can do our own thinking now.
Which hands you the first question, the one to ask of anything you’re told:
Is it actually true?
The second filter
The second is a history lesson. China, 1955. The sparrow population was decimated, because sparrows were the obvious reason for the crop shortage. And they were eating the crops. That part was true.
What got missed was that the sparrows also kept the insect population down. With the sparrows gone, it escalated from a poor crop to no crop at all, and a famine that cost millions.
Which hands you the second question, the one to ask even when the first answer is yes:
If it’s true, is there more going on?
And the name
AI domains are hot property at the moment. The catchy ones go for five figures.
So we put the naming through the same two filters, and came out with something new. Nietzsche’s overman, AI, and an eye.
overmanAEYE.
